Katarmal Sun Temple

Katarmal Sun Temple:
Landed at an elevation of 2,116 meters over the ocean level, the Sun Temple in Katarmal town, Uttarakhand, is viewed as the second most excellent sanctum committed to Surya in India. Around 19 kilometers from Almora, this sanctuary complex is visited by great many vacationers and pioneers consistently. The primary sanctuary is devoted to the Surya divinity, Vraddhaditya.
This hallowed place is illuminated at sunrise as it gets the main beams of the sun. Its very area in the midst of the Kumaon slopes hindered by the Kosi stream, makes this site incredibly attractive and outright. This ninth Century sanctuary complex traces all the way back to when Katarmalla, a Katyuri ruler used to administer the area. This 800-year-old sanctuary has one primary sanctuary and 45 more modest holy places. Other more modest places of worship have symbols of Shiva, his partner Parvati, Lakshmana and Narayana, articulated in them.
